As a mom to boys, I have to be very careful about boredom. Plus, they're approaching that puberty age and girls will someday soon be a distraction. So, what's a mom to do?
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. " Jer 29:11

If I may just interrupt my own thoughts to publically say that I feel terrible for the Tennessee Valley Unitarian church family who lost 9 members Sunday during their kids' presentation at church yesterday.

I do my best to keep their active bodies and minds engaged in a challenge. We have enjoyed 4H for many years but they need a bigger challenge, so we put Simon Peter in FIRST Lego League where he will study climate conditions & build a global game plan with Mindstorm robots. Nothing like a little career for four 12-13 yo boys. I look forward to blogging about our competitions this fall.
Last but not least, both boys are going to start taking music lessons. We'll start with recorder, move to piano and then see where that leads us.

You're so good about doing all these things for/with your boys! You've really made me think the past few days as I've been contemplating this post!
